DECISION MAKING

Faculty have the 'power to', influence the learners and hence the next generations. In today's educational institutions which are run like corporate companies faculty have to acquire managerial and leadership qualities as in corporate companies. Influencing (stakeholders), decision making (in department and Institution) and team work (Institutional events or student development) are basic to becoming a successful faculty. This may not include the research oriented institutions where technical abilities and academic brilliance are important. Faculty who have teaching as second career have a lot to unlearn from their past. They have to appreciate their roles in the present, recognise their power to change, influence and leave a footprint in the institution for the future. Programmes are specifically designed for each of the themes and offered to such faculty and Institutions.
